Food and grocery delivery company Swiggy has launched services marketplace Pyng, through which it will connect users to professionals such as health and wellness experts, financial advisors, wealth managers, astrologers and event planners.ET was the first to report in November 2024 about Swiggy's plans to foray into this space. At the time, it was running a pilot programme under the 'Yello' brand, which was subsequently renamed to Pyng.

With Pyng, we’re offering a reliable, spam-free platform where users can connect with trusted experts .Pyng has been launched as a standalone app - in line with the shift in Swiggy's strategy to launch separate apps for different use-cases.
In January, it launched a standalone app for its quick commerce business Instamart.Swiggy’s Pyng is built broadly on the lines of Urban Company which offers several at-home services. However, Urban Company is mostly focused on handymen services such as electricians, plumbers and painters, among others - while Pyng mainly aims to connect white-collared professionals to users.
Prosus is a common investor in both companies.Walmart-owned ecommerce marketplace Flipkart too has a small presence in at-home services.At 12.
