Upcoming film “7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken” (literal translation) has finished filming! Based on a 2012 novel by Baek Young Ok, the film “7 a.
m. Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken” follows the story of Sa Gang ( Suzy ) and Ji Hoon ( Lee Jin Uk ), who come together at a breakfast meeting for people dealing with heartbreak. At this gathering, they exchange their “mementos of heartbreak” and share their stories and pain, exploring how individuals cope with breakups and lost love.
“7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken” began filming at the end of December last year and lead actors Suzy, Lee Jin Uk, Yoo Ji Tae , and Geum Sae Rok recently wrapped up filming after three months.
Already, anticipation is growing to see how the actors portrayed the emotional themes of love and heartbreak against a wintery backdrop. Suzy plays Sa Gang, showcasing depth in her portrayal of love and parting with pilot Jung Soo (Yoo Ji Tae). The actress shared, “It was such a happy set working together with a great director and fellow actors.
While recalling memories of how much I enjoyed reading the original novel, it felt strange watching the process of [the novel] becoming a film. I also hope that viewers receive warm comfort through this film like how I felt moments of comfort while portraying Sa Gang.” Lee Jin Uk takes on the role of professional consultant instructor Ji Hoon who is in a long-term relationship with Hyun Jung (Geum Sae Rok).
Through his role, Lee Jin Uk will present a deep romance that delves into the realities of long-term relationships and the pain of separation. Lee Jin Uk shared, “I’m happy to have wrapped up filming safely, but I’m also saddened. I was able to gain positive energy all throughout filming because I worked with such great actors.
While playing Ji Hoon, I tried portraying the various emotions of parting, and I hope viewers feel warmth and empathy through the film.” Director Im Sun Ae further shared, “We were able to safely wrap up filming thanks to the efforts and consideration of the great staff and actors. We’ll continue to put in effort in the post-production stage so that we can deliver a great project to audiences who are waiting for the film.
” “7 a.m. Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken” is gearing up to air in the second half of 2025 this winter.
