Representative image Special PMLA court in Ranchi Saturday granted bail to suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal in connection with the Rs 18 crore MGNREGS 'scam' being investigated by ED . The Jharkhand court imposed several conditions, including submission of two bonds worth Rs 2 lakh each, surrender of passport, restriction on leaving the state without informing the investigating officer, and mandatory court appearances when summoned, said defence advocate Vikrant Sinha. During the two-day bail hearing, the defence argued that Singhal, arrested by ED on May 11, 2022, had already completed one-third of the maximum punishment of seven-year term under section 4 of PMLA.
