A surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital who is at the centre of an investigation into their care has been named as Ms Kuldeep Stohr.

As reported by ITV Anglia, Ms Kuldeep Stohr is the paediatric and orthopaedic surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital who has been suspended. An external review was carried out into the outcome of nine treatments carried out by Ms Stohr on child patients. The review found that the treatments were "below the standard" that Addenbrooke's expect.

In 2024, the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation trust suspended Ms Stohr. While Ms Stohr specialised in paediatric surgery, the Trust confirmed that a further 100 cases of both adult and child orthopaedic trauma would be reviewed as well, to determine whether there were any concerns about the emergency treatment Ms Stohr provided.

ITV Anglia also reported that MS Stohr has said: "I always strives to provide the highest standards of care to all my patients. "I am cooperating fully with the Trust investigation and it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time." Have you got a story you want to share with us? Get in touch at: francesca.
