GREENSBORO — Police arrested 45-year-old Christopher LeDaniel Maxwell in Swepsonville on Friday and charged him with shooting a woman inside a Greensboro residence last week, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury, the release said. Around 9:30 p.
m. on April 3, officers responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on West Meadowview Road. A woman, whom police have not named, was discovered inside a home, suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was taken to a local hospital where she was listed as stable, police said. The victim and Maxwell are believed to have had an argument before the shooting, according to the release. Maxwell also faces one charge each for: discharging a weapon into an occupied structure, discharging a firearm within city limits, and injury to property.
