A SUSPECT has been arrested after a man was allegedly stabbed to death at a Scots community centre. Mercy crews rushed to the Burnbank Centre in Hamilton at around 3.50pm on Monday after reports of two injured men.

And a 59-year-old man was blue-lighted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after sustaining injuries . Police Scotland has launched a murder probe following the alleged incident A force spokesman said: "A murder enquiry has been launched following the death of a 36-year-old man and the attempted murder of a 59-year-old man in Hamilton.
"A 56-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing. "Around 3.50pm on Monday, 21 October, we received a report of two men injured within the Burnbank Centre in the town.
"A 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 59-year-old man was taken by ambulance to hospital. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
" Superintendent Richard Taylor added: “We believe this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. "We have an increased police presence in the area as we understand this could be a very upsetting and worrying time for the local community. "Anyone with concerns is asked to speak to these officers.
