Sushi Yorimichi , a family-owned Japanese restaurant in San Diego’s Linda Vista neighborhood, is set to open a new location at 5299 Linda Vista Road . The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of White Rice Morena in the Presidio Plaza , according to a recent liquor license application. Sushi Yorimichi was founded in June 2021 by Sera Turley , a native of Yokohama who has lived in San Diego for nearly 15 years.
Turley tells What Now San Diego that this new location is expected to open in mid-July 2025 . This location follows on the company’s successful flagship store, which is found down the street at 2405 Ulric St. Turley opened Sushi Yorimichi to share her hometown flavors with the local community.
The restaurant offers an authentic Japanese dining experience with a touch of fusion. When the new location opens, customers can expect a variety of sushi rolls, ramen, and traditional appetizers. Popular items include the yellowtail jalapeño roll, birria ramen, and takoyaki.
The restaurant also offers a weekday happy hour with discounted items. Seating is limited at its original location, but the friendly service and consistent quality keep customers coming back. The Presidio shopping center is an excellent spot for Sushi Yorimichi’s second location.
It’s conveniently located near the Morena/Linda Vista Trolley Station and the University of San Diego, bringing in a steady stream of students and commuters. With easy access to major highways, the location attracts a wide range of customers from all over the area. The center sees substantial foot traffic with plenty of time for people to stop by and enjoy a meal.
