Australian entrepreneur and founder of the largest hairdressing business in the southern hemisphere, Denis McFadden, donates Cardiac Deliberator to Vanimo Hospital. The generous donation of essential lifesaving medical equipment is building on networks inspired by Surfing Association Papua New Guinea Inc (SAPNG) President and Co-Founder Andrew C.Abel,CBE,CSM,ML with its foundations rooted in Vanimo Lido Village, Sandaun Province dating back 35 years ago, where the history and evolution of modern Surfing/ Surf Tourism history all began.

As Tim Mecham the Director of Operations for Vanimo Surf Lodge says, “The entire Vanimo community is now benefiting from the Australian-Papua New Guinean friendships that the Surf Lodge made possible. Our hope is our community building efforts here in Sanduan Province will continue to grow thanks to the generosity of Australians like Denis McFadden.” A presentation was held in the conference room of Vanimo Hospital on Tuesday November the 4 th and attended by the following: Sr Gayleen Loup NUM ED Sr Tabitha Som NUM Surgical/ HDU Sr Noringku Nurse consultant Mr Yawarom Director Nursing HEO Elapo HEO ED DR Morea Deputy director curative Dr Aisanga ED Medical Officer Dr Bita Director Curative Mr Matkale Quality assurance Mr Richard Wama Biomed Mr Jeff Mana the Manager of the Vanimo Surf Lodge was joined by Australians Mr Tim Mecham and Mr Nick Cavallaro.
