Published: April 9, 2025 7:16 AM IST By There are many actors in the Bollywood industry who, as per the audience, are considered products of nepotism.

All because of their parents, these star kids are usually given an upper hand compared to the actors who are completely new in the industry. A similar story happened with this star kid who was supported by his father and some other famous B-town celebs in order to kickstart his career. Sadly, despite all the big efforts, this actor’s career never took off and as a result, he left acting.

Today, he is a businessman, running a catering business in Delhi. This man in discussion is the son of a famous legendary actor who is known for his work in Bollywood. The star kid was supported by the late iconic actress Sridevi for his first films.

Everyone had high hopes from the film, but it became a huge disappointment to all. If you are wondering who we are discussing, then the former actor is Kunal Goswami, son of late actor Manoj Kumar. Kunal started his career in Bollywood in 1981 with the film Kranti.

The movie had big names such as Dilip Kumar, Hema Malini, Vinod Khanna, Parveen Babi, and Shashi Kapoor in key roles. Kunal’s lead role came when he featured in the 1983 film Kalakaar. The leading actress opposite Goswami was none other than Sridevi herself.

However, despite such a strong start, Kunal Goswami couldn’t make his place in Bollywood. Though the movie did not work out, its song Neele Neele Ambar Par sung by Kishore Kumar became a huge hit. In the following years, Kunal gave his best to become an actor.

He featured in films like Ghunghroo (1983), Do Gulab (1983), and Paap Ki Kamaai (1990). All of these films turned out to be huge flops. He also shared screen space with Govinda with the hope of the movie doing big on the big screens, but that too failed miserably.

Goswami not only did films, but also tried his luck in TV, but that also did not bring him fame and name. Soon, Kunal understood that acting was not his cup of tea and decided to say goodbye to the Bollywood world. Today, he owns a catering business in Delhi and has turned out to be a successful businessman.
