Director James Gunn’s highly anticipated DC cinematic offering ‘Superman’ is all set to take flight in July this year. Just a couple of months ahead of the release, the director unveiled an exclusive sneak peek of the film at CinemaCon 2025, held from March 31 to April 3 in Las Vegas. The superhero flick starring ‘Twisters’ fame David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel will narrate Clark Kent’s difficulty accepting his Kryptonian heritage with his upbringing amid humans on Earth.
Now, the nearly five-minute teaser expands upon the initial December 2024 trailer, offering deeper insights into the film's tone and characters. The footage opens with Superman crash-landing in a snowy landscape near his Fortress of Solitude. In his weakened state, he calls for his loyal dog, Krypto’s help.
But the canine’s arrival, filled with enthusiasm, inadvertently exacerbates Superman's injuries as he playfully jumps on his battered form. The scene transitions to the Fortress, where Kryptonian automatons attempt to heal Superman, keeping the dark humor added to the narrative alive. Beyond this sequence, the teaser reintroduces characters including Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), Green Lantern Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), and Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced).
Though details about Superman’s plot remain unclear, the movie will bring back characters including Milly Alcock as Supergirl, and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen. The ‘Superman’ movie is scheduled for release in the UAE on July 11, 2025. ALSO READ| 'Krypto', 'Green Lantern': Breaking down the new Superman trailer.
