After showers moved through at the end of the week, we will start off teh weekend by drying out today. Sunshine looks to be abundant through the day, and with winds remaining light, highs get well into the 50s for the afternoon. Tonight could be a touch on the chilly side, as lows do drop back into the 30s, but we will warm right back up for Sunday.
Through most of Sunday morning, we have increasing clouds, but still some sun shining through. Winds will not be too gusty, but will be out of the east at a persistent 10-20 mph for most of the day. Once we head into the afternoon, that is where we will track a system sliding north into the region, bringing in the chance of rain for much of the afternoon and evening.
ADVERTISEMENT The week ahead then looks to be a damp one through southeast Minnesota, with some typical spring weather around the region. Highs stay in the 50s to start the week but then warm to the 60s. A few of the midweek showers could bring a rumble of thunder to the region as well, with chances for rain lingering off and on through the week.
