SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- Happy Monday, Utah! It was a cool and clear start to our week! We're looking at lots of sunshine for our Monday afternoon, a bit of haze, and milder temperatures. Highs this afternoon will warm into the mid to upper 60s across the Wasatch Front, with highs in the mid 80s for SW Utah.Tuesday will feature mostly sunny to partly skies and even warmer temperatures.
Highs will climb into the mid 70s across the Wasatch Front and mid 80s for SW Utah.Wednesday will feature mostly cloudy skies. A few isolated showers will begin to pop up across the area along with breezy southwest winds.
Highs will return to the mid 70s across the Wasatch Front with low to mid 80s for SW Utah.A cold front moves through the state on Thursday, with a developing low-pressure system. This will bring periods of widespread showers and maybe a few rumbles of thunder to the Beehive State on Thursday.
As colder air begins to work in and snow levels begin to drop, we will likely see a transition from rain to snow for the mountains above 6,000 ft.The low pressure will continue to send periods of showers through the state on Friday, and with snow levels dropping to between 5000-5500 ft., some snowflakes could mix in with the rain for the benches.
Either way, look for a raw day with highs much cooler than earlier in the week.Overall, the data indicates the potential for a juicy system with anywhere between a 0.25"-0.
