SUNGAI BULOH: After a storm here yesterday, 25 people from seven families have evacuated to the temporary relief centre at the Shah Alam City Council's (MBSA) Resak Hall.In a Facebook post, Sungai Buloh member of parliament Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said he and a team from the constituency's service centre visited the temporary relief centre to assess the situation and ensure the wellbeing of evacuees.
He said he received a detailed briefing from several agencies, including the Petaling District and Land Office, MBSA Rapid Unit, Fire and Rescue Department, Social Welfare Department and police."I would like to express my highest appreciation to all the agencies that have worked tirelessly and collaborated with the Sungai Buloh Service Centre team to provide assistance and support to victims."Ramanan said he instructed for daily necessities to be distributed to evacuees immediately, particularly to ensure the comfort of children and the sick.
He met affected families and listen to their concerns and needs.He said coordination with Selangor agencies would continue to expedite aid, including assistance for replacing electrical appliances through the Malaysian Cooperative Commission."I will ensure that the daily needs of victims are met.
In any disaster, our strength lies in the spirit of togetherness and solidarity. I am always with you."Yesterday, Ramanan said a team from his constituency's service centre had been mobilised to help storm victims, working closely with the authorities to ensure the prompt delivery of aid.
