Sunday Brunch presenter Tim Lovejoy made a candid admission during his Channel 4 show as he discussed how he previously attempted to thicken his hair. The 56-year-old was back for another instalment of his popular weekend programme alongside his co-host Simon Rimmer. Joined by Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Gyles Brandreth, Lloyd Griffith, Boyzlife and more, Simon and Tim had plenty to get on with.

But while talking to their guest comedian and actor Lloyd, the conversation soon turned to hair transplants and hair loss. Admitting that he's currently in the healing process, Lloyd shared the reason why he decided to do the cosmetic procedure and the struggles he previously had. The discussion led Tim to admit that he used to use powder to create the illusion that his hair was thicker.

Tim said: "Because I saw someone use it in makeup one time, I started using that powder, the powder to just thicken it up a bit. "But then it's like 'what am I doing?'" During the show, Lloyd also showed off the progress since he underwent his hair transplant procedure. He added that he tried everything before he made the big decision to go under the knife.

Meanwhile, in 2021, presenter Tim spoke about his hair when a fan asked him how he dealt with his hair no longer being as thick and full as it once was. Heading over to social media site X, the fan asked a very personal question. They said: "Tim, when did you start losing your hair.

My son is 21 and distraught as he is losing fast. Did you investigate any of the procedures available? I feel for him as it's denting his confidence." Replying to the message, Tim said:"Whether we like it or not it’s tough.

The problem with procedures is once you’re in, you have to keep going. This is why I didn’t go through with transplant. The only real advice is go short and own it.

It took me a while." Sunday Brunch airs Sundays from 10am on Channel 4.
