Sunday Brunch fans copped a major shift in seconds as the latest episode hit off. Channel 4's beloved Sunday Brunch bounced back onto tellies on November 10, spooning up another serving of grub, giggles and tunes. TV faves Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer welcomed a fresh crew of stars to their sofa.
Yet, the audience flagged pretty pronto there were hefty numbers this time around on the show. The roster was packed with Alfie Boe, Michael Ball, Katherine Ryan, Nick Mohammed, Leomie Anderson, Jake Shears, and Maverick Sabre in tow. But even with the whopping mix of fame, viewers piped up with moans across social media anyways.
On Twitter , one user groaned: "Too many guests on @SundayBrunchC4 quality is always better than quantity! ! Bored! Love Rick though." Another chirped in with: "More repeat guests on #SundayBrunch as per, Boe and Ball, and unfunny Kath Ryan.", reports the Express .
Elsewhere, someone on Instagram wrote: "Lots of reasons in this lineup are the reason I don't watch it." Yet another simply praised: "Wow! Real celebrity guests." Still, there were those buzzing over the lineup with one person swooning: "Great lineup! " Another keenly shared: "Looking forward to it, as usual, great guests, love that.
" This comes hot on the heels of last week's buzz about Bob Mortimer, who visited the brunch bunch on November 3. Fans aired worries for the 65 year old jester known for his stint on Gone Fishing with sidekick Paul Whitehouse, as he plugged his new tome, The Hotel Avocado. Fans were left deeply unsettled after his latest TV stint, taking to the frenzied world of social media to express their worries.
Concern rang clear as one viewer posted: "There seems to be something wrong with Bob. He doesn't seem himself #sundaybrunch," echoed by another who observed: "Bob is looking very distracted in this segment! #SundayBrunch." Amidst a backdrop of anxiety, heartfelt pleas emerged from fans eager to protect the beloved figure.
One alarmed fan declared: "#SundayBrunch Protect Bob at all costs. A national treasure. River King.
Penman extraordinaire," In a similar vein, yet another remark reinforced the sombre mood: "Bob looks like he'd rather be at home #sundaybrunch." Tensions apparently permeated the set itself, with other remarks hinting at a broader unease among the cast. An eagle-eyed spectator noted: "There's a weird vibe in the room today.
Everyone is on edge, nothing is settled, and there's a burgeoning sense of irritated armageddon building. It's perfect #sundaybrunch." Sunday Brunch airs every Sunday at 9:30am on Channel 4.
