The stars on Sunday Brunch were left gobsmacked by the 'extortionate' price of a Christmas panettone that actor Ben Miller admitted to splurging on at a recent fair. This week's episode saw hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer welcome Ben Miller alongside Samara Joy, Nina Wadia, Gregor Fisher, Ben Hardy, and Elmiene into the studio. Tim Lovejoy sparked off the chat, saying: "Ben, we heard you paid an obscene amount of money for some bread this week.

" Ben Miller rolled his eyes as he recounted his visit to a Christmas fair, prompting Tim to probe: "Do you love them?" "I do actually," Ben affirmed. "Genuinely love a Christmas fair, a great way to get in the mood for Christmas", reports the Express . He then mentioned spotting a panettone and deciding to buy it for his brother-in-law, challenging the guests: "Saw a panettone and thought, 'I'll get that for my brother-in-law'.

Can you guess how much it cost?" "I know, so I can't guess," responded Tim. "Ask the international celebrities!" The guessing game kicked off with a £7 start before escalating quickly after Ben described the festive treat, leading Gregor to venture a £25 guess. "You've got to factor in the tin, a nice tin.

Panettone, tin, hazlenut, chocolate," Ben hinted. Following Gregor's estimate, Ben urged: "Raise you £25." Nina then took a stab with £35, but Ben indicated it was even pricier.

Gregor threw in a £50 guess, only for Ben to disclose it was steeper still. "60 quid!" Ben exclaimed. "At that point I didn't know what to do! I felt like I was on the spot.

" He confessed to caving in and paying, leading Tim to jest that the fair vendors must have thought: "They were thinking, 'It's Ben Miller off the telly!'" "Exactly! Exactly!" Ben exclaimed. "I'm exposed! I felt I couldn't let them down. I couldn't back out.

"But I'm seething. It's ruined Christmas for me! " he admitted, much to the amusement of everyone present. "Nobody's getting anything.

" Tim asked, "What was so special about it, did they say?" to which Ben confessed, "It's Dolce and Gabbana. I thought it said Dolce and Gobbana, like it was a joke. No, it was actually by Dolce and Gabbana, so 60 quid.
