A restaurant just over the Surrey border with rooftop views of aeroplanes taking off and landing has been called a "stunning gem" by diners. With an atmospheric terrace and private pods, this is a great place to try delicious, flavoursome Indian dishes. PK Indian Restaurant, Bar and Lounge can be found on the sixth floor of the Courtyard, in the Marriott Hotel.
It's just a short drive from Surrey into Hayes, in Hillingdon. Dishes served at PK are Punjabi inspired, with sizzler platters, tandoori grills and biryani recipes. Customers have raved about the paneer tikka and fish curries in reviews left via Google.
One diner wrote: "Located on the 6th floor of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, PK restaurant is a stunning rooftop gem, featuring panoramic views of Heathrow Airport runway from its terrace and pods. The paneer tikka was my favourite from the sizzler, it was really delicious with a soft texture I loved the flavours of the fish curry the Rasmalai was beautifully presented, however I found the milk foam a bit too rich. "The restaurant's ambiance is warm & cosy, I loved the twinkling lights the private dining pods on the terrace are perfect for special occasions, with panoramic views of the Heathrow runway.
The menu includes Halal and vegetarian options. "A special thank you to Veronica for being so friendly and attentive! PK Restaurant is a must visit spot for date night or a cosy evening with friends." A year after opening, the restaurant has attracted plenty glowing reviews, with a Google rating of 4.

The food at PK was just so much better. "In fact, this was among the best we ever had. Not to mention incredible service and atmosphere with a roof top deck and a private dining pod.
Can't wait to go back next time we are in London." Standout dishes include the chicken kathi roll made with spiced shredded chicken, wrapped in a paratha for £13.49 and the Kakinada club prawn which is a coastal Andhra specialty with Provençale Guntur chilli sauce, shallots, curry leaves for £17.
99. The Murgh Dim Biryani contains succulent chicken and fragrant spices at £15.99 and the Northwest speciality, Kashmiri chilli is an authentic option with pounded spices at £16.
99. Inside the restaurant is beautiful with touches of art deco and contemporary décor. Given that it is at the top floor and has floor to ceiling windows, whether you are sat inside or on the terrace you will see incredible views across the airport.
Even though temperatures have taken a dip, you could still sit outside in little pods to keep dry and watch the world go by. During summer, you can soak up the sun on the terrace and enjoy a cocktail from the rooftop bar next to the restaurant. To get there via public transport, it would likely be best to travel to Feltham train station and then hop on the 285 bus to Heathrow Airport.
