A restaurant just over the Surrey border with rooftop views of aeroplanes taking off and landing has been called a "stunning gem" by diners. With an atmospheric terrace and private pods, this is a great place to try delicious, flavoursome Indian dishes. PK Indian Restaurant, Bar and Lounge can be found on the sixth floor of the Courtyard, in the Marriott Hotel.

It's just a short drive from Surrey into Hayes, in Hillingdon. Dishes served at PK are Punjabi inspired, with sizzler platters, tandoori grills and biryani recipes. Customers have raved about the paneer tikka and fish curries in reviews left via Google.

The paneer tikka was my favourite from the sizzler, it was really delicious with a soft texture I loved the flavours of the fish curry the Rasmalai was beautifully presented, however I found the milk foam a bit too rich. "The restaurant's ambiance is warm & cosy, I loved the twinkling lights the private dining pods on the terrace are perfect for special occasions, with panoramic views of the Heathrow runway.

The menu includes Halal and vegetarian options. "A special thank you to Veronica for being so friendly and attentive! PK Restaurant is a must visit spot for date night or a cosy evening with friends." A year after opening, the restaurant has attracted plenty glowing reviews, with a Google rating of 4.

Even though temperatures have taken a dip, you could still sit outside in little pods to keep dry and watch the world go by.
