Via Sistina is the 2024 Cox Plate champion after a historic and dominant win in Saturday’s Group 1 race by a record eight lengths. Prognosis came in second place followed by Broadsiding in third and Mr Brightside in fourth. Via Sistina was in pole position for the majority of the 2040 metre Moonee Valley race, but charged home on the turn and never looked like letting up in an incredible performance.
