DETROIT -- It’s been a day to forget for the Detroit Lions, so far. They have been destroyed by quarterback Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills at home to this point. Now, the injuries are starting to pile up, with stud defensive lineman Alim McNeill ruled out with a knee injury.
McNeill was visibly frustrated, limping off the field. He spent a couple of minutes with trainers on the sideline, then was quickly ruled out after entering the blue medical tent. He missed the second half of last week’s game after being evaluated for a concussion, too.
McNeill is an important piece for this defense, signing a big-money extension to keep the cornerstone around for the foreseeable future.
