Struggling farmer dies by suicide in Adilabad

Adilabad: A farmer, M. Narsaiah of Varthamannur in Bajarhthanoor mandal, died by suicide on Saturday morning, reportedly due to financial distress. Reports indicated that Narsaiah had borrowed Rs.

2.20 lakh from a government bank in Ichoda and was facing difficulties in obtaining the crop loan waiver because his loan exceeded the Rs.2 lakh ceiling.



He owned and cultivated six acres of land, financing his farming through loans from both the bank and private money lenders. Narsaiah's financial struggles and inability to manage his debts are believed to have led to his tragic decision. It is believed that Narsaiah took the extreme step on Friday night on the village outskirts, His body was found by locals on Saturday.
