MADRID Three people were killed in Spain's Andalusia region after a warehouse ceiling collapsed as Storm Nuria hit the country, according to an official statement released on Friday. The roof and wall of an agricultural warehouse in the Cortijo el Seguro industrial zone in Seville collapsed due to strong winds, health authorities of Andalusia autonomous region said. Three workers died following the incident while the transmission tower in the area was also damaged due to the strong winds.
Security measures have also been increased in the area, the statement added. Meanwhile, the country's State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) reported up to 150 kilometers per hour (93.2 miles per hour) winds in Andalusia, the Canary Islands, and the eastern part of the country where Storm Nuria batters.
