Strictly finalist to appear at bookshop just days after TV showpiece

A Strictly Come Dancing finalist is set to make an appearance in her hometown, Thirsk, just days after the BBC show's grand final.

Tasha Ghouri, a television personality, activist, model, and social media influencer, will be at White Rose Books in Thirsk Market Place on Monday, December 23, from 2pm. She will be signing copies of her book, 'Hits Different,' which she co-authored with Lizzie Huxley-Jones. The book is a summer romance about self-love, friendship, and representation.

Speaking ahead of the series, the Thirsk-born TV star said former Glitterball winner Rose Ayling-Ellis had congratulated her on joining the 2024 line-up. Tasha said: "I feel proud to be representing the deaf community as well. "We both have such different experiences being deaf growing up, so it’s nice that I can bring something different to the table in terms of the cochlear implant and my journey.
