The acclaimed documentary presenter's life changed forever when she lifted the glitterball Stacey Dooley's life changed forever when she competed on Strictly Come Dancing. The 37-year-old found love with her partner Kevin Clifton on their way to being crowned champions on the BBC show. Their relationship is one of many that have made Strictly Come Dancing the hugely successful show it is today.

The BBC contest premiered 20 years ago and a special programme airing tonight will explore the show's history. Stacey and Kevin will appear on Strictly Come Dancing: 20 Fabulous Years to retell their love story and share the incredible impact the show has had on their life. In a teaser for the programme, which airs at 7pm tonight, Stacey said: "We're so fortunate aren't we? We met on the show six years ago and now we've got a little girl.

Minnie's two. Imagine what our lives would look like." Kevin agreed as he added: "Our lives would be completely different if you hadn't done Strictly.

" Stacey has channelled her experiences of motherhood into a new book titled Dear Minnie. She took to Instagram yesterday to share a career update as she is running three events across the country in celebration of its release. An event will be held at the Chester Storyhouse on March 30 and Stacey can't wait to meet fans and chat about the book.

She said: "Join me in celebrating my new book ‘Dear Minnie’. We’re doing three nights only, one in Chester, one in Edinburgh and one in London. "We can chat about the book, motherhood .

.. family, work, docs and everything else in between.

I’ll be signing books afterwards, so we can have a natter and a selfie (Paris or Oslo filter plsssssss) I LOVE hanging out with you all and I’m sincerely looking forward to seeing you again in 2025!" The Chester event is local to Stacey after she relocated to Merseyside last year. Her partner, Kevin, exclusively told the ECHO about the move in an interview this year. Stacey's mum hails from Liverpool and the family made the move so Minnie could be closer to her nan.

The dancer revealed the decision was made within seconds as Stacey quickly fell in love with her new home. He told the ECHO : "Stacey loves looking at houses on the internet. Looking at interiors and stuff is her favourite thing to do.

"She just happened to have seen something she liked and thought 'oh it's not too far away from my mum'. We went and had a look and the second she walked in was like 'I love it and I can really see us living here'. It all happened really quickly and we love it.

" He added: "Our little girl is going to be raised as a Scouser." Kevin explained how the family have falling love with their life in Merseyside and have been blown away by the welcoming nature of Scousers. He said: "It sounds like I'm pandering but I'm being honest.

It's just the people. When you get an Uber in London, they're already annoyed they have to drive you. "[In Liverpool] you get in an Uber and you're just chatting along to the driver the whole way.

I love it. Everyone chats to you in a normal, friendly way which was not my experience in London. We haven't spent enough time here yet so we need recommendations.

" Although Kevin and Stacey originally met on the dancefloor, he hopes his daughter doesn't follow in his footsteps. However, Kevin is already fighting a losing battle as he said Minnie already seems enamoured with the Strictly music whenever the show is on TV and joked some of his worst fears could be set to come true after the move to Liverpool. He said: "It's funny because I was like I don't want her to be a ballroom dancer and go through everything like I did.

People asked 'would you rather her be a ballroom dancer or a Liverpool fan' and I was like for God's sake." Kevin is a big Scunthorpe United fan but said Stacey's influence as Reds' supporter may win out on their daughter as he laughed: "My instinct is she's not going to be a Scunny fan but I'm going to try my best. She's already got the Liverpool kit and I've got a feeling that's going to happen.

"But her great grandad is an Everton fan so it's a big fight in the family of who's going to claim Minnie's football team." Stacey regularly shares updates from the incredible renovation project on Instagram. She is also decorating the house for Christmas and is going all out for the festive season this year.

Stacey returned home from a family trip to Disneyland this month and was wowed by what she found on her arrival back in Merseyside. She has been working with a local floral design studio, Mary Mary Florals, who have decorated the incredible Christmas trees in Stacey's home. She was amazed to find the completed Christmas tree in all its glory and shared the results in a post on Instagram.

In the clip, she said: "Oh my god, they've done it again." The update, which was shared with her 1.2m Instagram followers, was captioned: "Home to the dining room tree.

So v v v lucky. Ta girls!" A response from Mary Mary florals official account said: "Another ball was had! Thank you!" Strictly Come Dancing: 20 Fabulous Years airs tonight at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
