Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts have vented their frustration, suggesting a judge should be dismissed due to what they describe as 'over-scoring' a lacklustre performance. In tonight's instalment, the much-anticipated Blackpool week dazzled viewers once again. The dance floor was set alight by Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystals Cha Cha, performed to Right Said Freds track I'm Too Sexy, featuring Pete in figure-hugging pink PVC trousers.
Craig Revel Horwood didn't mince his words in his appraisal, labelling Pete's dance "very uncoordinated" and criticising that "you were behind musically" before dealing out a scanty four points. Motsi Mabuse was both puzzled and delighted, confessing: "I loved it for all the wrong reasons. I would watch it over and over.
I'm still trying to figure out whats happening here", reports the Express . In contrast, Shirley Ballas saw many positives, awarding Pete and Jowita an eight and remarking on his efforts: "You had some very good isolation, you had a very good neck line..
..Your hips were swinging left and right.
" She also had effusive adulation, stating: "It was very entertaining. I don't think I'm going to forget this evening for a long time." However, fans took to social media in droves, disparaging Shirley for seemingly overlooking Pete's mistakes.
Expressions of discontent filled Twitter feeds, one post read: "Need Shirley to leave after this series. So f****** unprofessional. Pete gets 'very entertaining' for that.
" Someone else publicly displayed their disillusionment: "Shirley losing all credibility as a judge." Another viewer chimed in with a sarcastic tone: "No matter what Pete does Shirley praises him." An additional vexed comment surfaced: "I need Shirley's head judge status removed.
" In an interview with The Sun, Shirley expressed her determination to remain part of the show for as long as the BBC desires her presence. She expounded on her stance: "You know, I'm not going anywhere as long as the BBC would like to have me." The respected judge then discussed how she maintains neutrality: "I judge without fear or favour.
