Streets Inundated in French Town as Heavy Rain Hits

Areas of France were on status on Thursday, October 17, after heavy rain caused flooding in the southwest. Video recorded by Daniel Jourdan shows cars stranded in water in Annonay, near Saint Etienne. The local mayor, Simon Plenet, residents to stay home and follow instructions, saying the situation was “extremely critical”.
