Working 9 to 5 is quite a way to make a living, so says Dolly Parton. Come Monday, Sept. 23, the StoryTown Radio Show plans to explore the ways of the work day through its next performance in Jonesborough.

From educators to mental health care providers, pizza delivery drivers to small business owners, farmers, and rocket scientists, the StoryTown Radio Show cast aims to provide a show centered around day jobs and “multiple walks of life,” a press release from the Town of Jonesborough states. According to the release, the show will also feature the conclusion of the Shanks’ Oak story, recounting the long life of Jonesborough’s Heritage Tree that stood on West Main Street for hundreds of years. Joining the cast this month are the Madrigal.
