A woman revealed her simple and effective method to clear condensation from windows, declaring it the ultimate solution to the problem. Sharing her top tip with her 60,000 TikTok followers, @blooms_abode demonstrates a no-fuss hack that not only tackles condensation but also fights off mould growth. In her instructions, she states: "No gadgets needed.

Open your curtains and blinds in the morning. Leave a pot of bicarb [baking soda] on the windowsill. Use a mould spray once every two weeks to keep at bay.

" The video shows her applying an anti-mould spray to her windowsill and then wiping it down. She explains that baking soda is highly effective because it absorbs moisture from the environment. It's easy to know when to change it because it hardens after drawing in moisture.

Additionally, baking soda is an economical fix, costing less than £1 at numerous supermarkets. Response from her TikTok audience varied, with some expressing gratitude for the tips while others suggested even simpler alternatives. A commenter recommended: "Just buy a dehumidifier, pennies to run, no more condensation.

" While another said: "Buy a Meaco Dehumidifier, takes five litres of moisture out of my house every day and costs pennies to use." Meanwhile, one comment offered different advice, suggesting: "I was told to close all of the doors to the rooms which have condensation in them and it does help." In a separate video, the cleaning expert revealed her method of preventing spiders from entering her home.

She is seen creating an anti-spider concoction using 10 drops of peppermint oil for every 150ml of water. She then applies some of this mixture onto a cloth and wipes down all her window and door frames with it, effectively discouraging the creatures from coming in..
