Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 1.03%

5 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.



(up 1.71 per cent), MRF Ltd.(up 1.

6 per cent) and Bharat Forge Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Exide Industries Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.

(down 0.27 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day. The Nifty Auto index closed 1.

03 per cent up at 21373.1. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 414.

46 points at 23851.65, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1508.91 points at 78553.
