As trading began on December 31, 2024, the Sensex dipped 256.56 points (or 0.34% and was trading at 77,982.

57 points. On the other hand, Nifty was trading at 23,561.60 points after going down 83.

By 9:30 am the level of decline reached 418.59 points or 0.53%, when Sensex touched 77,829.

05 points. According to analysts, the stocks that could be in focus on December 31 are Adani Enterprises, Reliance Industries (RIL), Lupin, Adani Green Energy, ITC and Hindalco. Experts have already said that in the absence of clear domestic cues, the market this week can be dominated by global cues such as the inflow or outflow of FII investment, the strength of the dollar vis-a-vis the Indian rupee, global crude oil prices.
