Stephen Fry Joins British Sports Comedy Drama ‘Touche’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Stephen Fry has lined up his next feature, landing a role in the upcoming British indie film “Touche.” From Parvinder Shergill (“Kaur”), the film — described as a “family feel good sports comedy drama” —revolves around a young British South Asian Sikh woman who decides to turn her life around by entering the world of fencing. Shergill, who co-wrote, co-directed and co-produced “Touche,” also stars in the film, leading a cast that, alongside Fry, also includes Nina Wadia, Shazia Mirza, Paul Chowdhry, Matthew Lewis, Kayleigh- Paige Rees and Steven Pinder.

Created by Shergill, the film was co-directed with Leif Johnson and co-written with Juggy Sohal. Shergill produces for Pinder Productioins alongside co-producer Kayleigh-Paige Reese for Raspberry Films. Executive producers includes Shams A Akhtar, Gina Bariah and Jeevan Singh.



The film’s music was produced by Rowan Bradley, while the feature was made in association with the Knightsbridge Fencing Club in London. Fry recently become Sir Stephen Fry, having been knighted in the 2024 New Year’s Honors list. Earlier this year he received the lifetime achievement award at the Newport Beach Film Festival U.

” Shergill last year announced “Break a Leg,” a British indie mockumentary set in the world of drama schools that she also co-wrote and was producing for her Pinder Productions alongside Gina Bariah from Harrik Publishing and Productions. In “Break a Leg,” Shergill will play Jazzy, a woman competing with her drama student counterparts to land a deal with the agent of her dreams to fulfil her Christmas wish..
