Steph Anderson wins Curnick Salver at Bath Golf Club Autumn Meeting

Congrats to Steph Anderson for clinching the Curnick Salver at Bath Golf Club’s Autumn Meeting

Bath Golf Club’s women played in their Autumn Meeting last week in changeable conditions. The event was sponsored by Bath Clinic, with as much happening inside the clubhouse as on the course. Bath Radio broadcasted live from the club throughout the morning.

A number of members and staff were interviewed live, and Bath Clinic was on hand to offer health advice to the golfers before the prize-giving tea, which rounded off the day. A number of trophies were contested, with Steph Anderson scoring 86 to claim the for the best gross score (handicaps up to 23). The for the best gross score (handicaps 24–28) went to Helen Oliver with 100.



The , for handicaps 29 and over, was won by Kathy Odgen with 101. Anderson also received the for the best overall nett score (handicaps up to 28), with a score of nett 73. The , presented to the lady of a certain age with the best nett score, went to Kathy Ogden with 72.

The seniors played their Scratch Championship last week, with impressive scoring. The winner, continuing his fine form, was Richard Longhurst with an excellent 73. He was four clear of Andrew Polson, who beat Kelvin Green on countback.

The nett prize was won by Paul Suchley with a great nett 66, three ahead of Paul Grange, with Graham Smith third on 70. On Saturday, Bath held its annual , open to all members. There were plenty of prizes, competitions, and events across the day, alongside excellent food and refreshments from Jozsef and his team.

An 18-hole Bowmaker (teams of four) was held, with the winning team of Darren Wordon, Graham Smith, Simon Hughes, and Olly Jeffs scoring an impressive 90 points. Four points back in second place were Allan Kerrison, James Meddick, Shi Wei, and Tim Stacey, while Andy Robinson, Alan Buxton, Samantha Robinson, and Louise Buxton came third on 85. All proceeds went to the captain’s charity, Dorothy House.
