In the first quarter of this year, Stellantis car sales in the United States went down 12% compared to the first three months of 2024, reaching 293,225 units. In the entirety of 2024, U.S.
sales were down 15% year-over-year at 1.3 million units.The company’s marketing department tried its best to showcase the positive facts from the first three months, but hiding behind the huge percentage increases are some disappointing figures.
For instance, Fiat’s total U.S. sales increased 239% in the first quarter, thanks in no small part to the all-electric 500e.
While that’s true, the Italian brand managed to deliver just 522 vehicles in the first quarter stateside, up from last year’s 154.The only brand in Stellantis’ American portfolio that had a meaningful increase in sales is Chrysler, thanks to the Pacifica minivan. Last quarter, Chrysler sold 35,069 vehicles in the U.

Dodge, which ramped up deliveries of the all-electric Charger Daytona at the beginning of the year, was down 49% compared to last year.
Sales of the electric Charger amounted to 1,947 units, which is almost double the old gas-powered model’s 1,052 units. It’s worth noting, however, that production of the old Charger and Challenger combo ended in 2023, although you can still buy a 2023 Challenger from inventory, as there are still over 800 units available nationwide, according to Dodge’s website.The Wagoneer S, Jeep’s first all-electric SUV for the American market, saw sales of 2,595 units in its first quarter on the market.
From February to March, sales of the electric luxury SUV increased by 21%, according to Stellantis. Sales of Jeep’s plug-in hybrid models, the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe, increased 36% from February to March. The electrified Wrangler accounted for 26% of the model’s sales in the first quarter, which translates to 9,887 units.

The Grand Cherokee 4xe accounted for 23% of total Grand Cherokee sales in Q1 2025–that’s 11,147 cars. Compared to the first quarter of last year, sales of the Wrangler 4xe went down by 48%, while Grand Cherokee 4xe sales decreased by 12%.
