Thursday looks to be a pleasant spring day for much of the area. Overcast skies stick around for much of the day, but with a little sun peeking through, highs climb into the 40s for much of the region, with only a few spots near the Canadian border remaining in the 30s. Friday will be even cloudier around the region, but we are continuing to warm up with a light east breeze that will slowly shift through the day.

Highs will top out near 50 degrees with some warmer temperatures south of Duluth, but either way we have two nice but cloudy days to wrap up the week. ADVERTISEMENT As we head into the weekend, we take a turn for the wetter around the region. Highs Saturday will remain in the 40s, but we are tracking winds increasing out of the northwest.

A chance of rain will stay off and on for much of the day, with a few heavier pockets early in the morning and the chance for a rumble of thunder. As we head toward next week, Sunday will cool down a little, but for now, highs look to remain above freezing..
