Stay Well: All my friends are using period tracker apps. Should I?

Period tracker apps have exploded in popularity in recent years. The top three – Clue, Flo and Period Tracker – have over 250 million downloads worldwide. A 2024 global study by Oxford University found that 61pc of women using these apps do so to track their menstrual cycle.

It also revealed that women are using tracker apps for other reasons: 22pc use them to help understand their fertility and plan pregnancy, and 8pc are turning to apps as a form of contraception to prevent pregnancy..
