Jacob Sorensen starts in the Norwich City midfield as they take on Watford at Vicarage Road this lunchtime. Sorensen returned from injury to make a cameo in the Canaries’ 5-1 win over Swansea last weekend, and quickly replaces Oscar Schwartau in Johannes Hoff Thorup’s central three. Schwartau returns to his wide role in place of the injured Onel Hernandez, with Ante Crnac remaining on the bench despite his goalscoring antics in that Swans victory.
Only one of the eight outfield players on City's bench is over the age of 21, with Jose Cordoba dropped back out of the matchday group amid an injury crisis in Thorup's squad. Borja Sainz is serving the fifth game of his six-match ban for spitting. Marcelino Nunez and Anis Ben Slimane are expected to train with their team-mates next week, with no timeline placed on ailments for Liam Gibbs and Amankwah Forson.
Gabriel Forsyth's latest knee setback means he won't be back as early as hoped, while both Archie Mair (broken thumb) and Tony Springett (back) have both had surgery on their issues. Springett is expected to be out until the summer as a result, while Mair's loan at Motherwell has been cut short.
