A hotly-anticipated TV show is back filming in Bolton, with a star said to be in town. Le Mans Crescent has been transformed into a set once again for the AMC series The Talamasca. The series, which has filmed here previously, is shooting today and tomorrow.
Filming equipment and trucks are on the crescent this morning, with much of its parking suspended for the two days. Based on author Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles universe, The Talamasca is the latest television adaptation, following on from the Interview With the Vampire and Mayfair Witches series. It stars Downton Abbey's Elizabeth McGovern - who will be well-known to UK audiences as Cora Crawley on Downton Abbey. Today, a worker on scene confirmed that the filming is for the American gothic series.
He added that Fichtner is likely to be on location today, as well as Denton. This comes after a building on Howell Croft North, which is just off Le Mans Crescent, was turned into central London tube station Tottenham Court Road for the Talamasca . On January 10, the show, which was also filmed on Le Mans Crescent, was the most watched programme worldwide . Now, almost four weeks on, it remains at number six on the top 10 most watched English language shows. It has 3.
