Mike Tyson and Jake Paul's highly anticipated fight finally took place on Friday night, but it ended up being quite a dud. Paul coasted to a victory by unanimous decision, and among the folks who were unhappy with what they saw was fellow professional boxer Ryan Garcia. The excitement surrounding Tyson's return to the ring quickly faded when his age proved to be too much to overcome.

At 58 years old, Tyson was at a significant disadvantage against Paul from the get go, and while he had his moments, beating him wasn't much of a challenge for Paul. It was not what fans were hoping to see, and there were a lot of disappointed fans in the wake of this bout. Garcia was one of them, as he left a scathing review of the fight, saying that there was simply "no point" in the fight happening.

No point of that fight It was great to see Tyson back in action, but he showed his age early and often throughout the fight. With Paul being 31 years younger than him, and having a longer reach to keep Tyson at bay for much of the action, the legendary boxer stood virtually no shot of coming out on top. The lack of action was frustrating for fans, though, as Tyson rarely attacked Paul throughout the bout.

Paul was clearly holding back in the later rounds too, as he opted not to try to knockout Tyson when he was clearly on his last leg. © Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images With neither guy doing much of anything to the other, it created a stalemate that irritated folks like Garcia. Given his aggressive style of boxing, that's probably even more of a reason as to why he was not too fond of watching Paul and Tyson exchange a couple of blows each round before returning to their respective corners.

Regardless, the fight is in the books, with Paul racking up another win, and Tyson proving that he can still at least hold his own in the ring at 58 years old. And as a result, folks must keep an eye on Paul and Tyson to see what their next moves in their respective boxing careers ends up being.
