Stars, astrology, tarot...

Every day, thousands of Quebecers look to the future in the sky, hoping to get a glimpse of what lies ahead. We seek signs and prediction because, in a way, knowing what awaits us means regaining control over the uncertainties. What if we told you today that the future we can read doesn't lie in the stars, but in science, medicine, and an innovative test that is changing the game for thousands of women? The Perspective Project is this exceptional opportunity to read the future before it’s too late, to predict the risk of breast cancer at a stage where it’s still possible to avoid the worst.

Every year, over 1,380 women die from breast cancer in Quebec, often after a diagnosis that comes too late. Now, imagine for a moment: what if we could have intervened and predicted the risk for these women before the disease even developed? That’s exactly what the Perspective Project does. Through a saliva test and a questionnaire analyzing specific risk factors, it personalizes screening, enabling us to save even more lives.

Elsewhere in the world, preventive screening programs are already the norm. Here in Quebec, we remain stuck in an outdated screening system that relies solely on age criteria. This program works for women starting at 50, but leaves out those with higher risks, whose lives are just as precious.

Why wait until it’s too late? Here, we can rely on facts rather than reading the stars: individualized screening would reduce the risk of death from breast cancer by 41 per cenmt. Early detection leads to more effective treatment, and most importantly, an opportunity for life after the disease. The Perspective Project represents a paradigm shift, a chance we have in our hands to fight the inevitability of the disease, to grant women the future they deserve.

Such innovation not only benefits the health of Quebec women; it optimizes the healthcare system, reduces the socio-economic costs of late treatments, and ensures more equitable access to targeted screening. By offering an approach tailored to each woman, it improves their quality of life and provides them with a sense of security and control. The power to predict breast cancer is within our reach.

It is not a divine omen, but a scientific breakthrough we can make a reality today. It’s time to turn this vision of the future into an act of prevention. That’s why we invite all Quebecers to support this vital project by signing our petition .

Your support symbolizes a tangible commitment to the future, finally making screening accessible to the greatest number of people at risk. By signing, you affirm your commitment to this project and recognize that it is a necessity, not a luxury. Sign to make a difference.
