St Peter's Way remains shut as emergency services respond to incident

St Peter's Way is closed this evening as emergency services respond to a concern for welfare call. The busy dual carriageway has been shut since at least 9pm this evening, from Bradford Street to Raikes Lane. The fire service and police were near to Vincent's Way off Manchester Road, with the entrance to St Peter's Way blocked at Bradford Street.

(Image: AA Traffic Alerts) The road remains closed and there is no indication when it will reopen. Cars going towards Raikes Lane were turned back onto Manchester Road. The A666 after Raikes Lane was open as usual.



Motorists reported firefighters with specialist equipment on scene, while police were managing the traffic..
