St. Mary's gives 'Blessing of the Animals' donation to Humane Society

WILMINGTON — In celebration of St. Francis and his love of animals, St. Mary's-in-the-Mountains in Wilmington held its annual "Blessing of the Animals" in October where 11 dogs were blessed and many family pets were remembered.

As part of the celebration $400 was collected to benefit The Windham County Humane Society. Lorrie Scime of St. Mary's presented the check to the Humane Society's executive director, Maya Richmond, outside the newly renovated building on Route 30 in Brattleboro.
