Sprucing up the strip

Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant members and volunteers were up and at 'em early during their Sept. 14 Adopt-A-Highway gathering right outside Lucy Beckham High School, along Mathis Ferry Road. The beautification effort produced multiple bags of assorted trash.

The club's next cleanup is scheduled for Sept. 28..
