This week's spring heat wave sticks around for another day, bringing summerlike temperatures. High pressure will lead to temperatures in the mid- to high-90s for the San Fernando Valley. The National Weather Service says that's between 10 and 20 degrees above average for inland areas.
Mountain communities could see highs in the mid 80s. Closer to the coast, you could catch some relief with temps between 70 and 77 degrees. If you're heading to Indio to kickstart Coachella tomorrow, prepare for highs near 98 with light wind in the afternoon.
Most areas will see sunny skies all day after patchy low clouds in the morning. Friday is expected to look very similar to today, but relief is in sight. An onshore flow should return over the weekend, bringing a cooling trend into early next week.
