Showers will be fewer than Thursday, but a few areas south of Duluth may see sprinkles sliding through with overcast skies once again Friday.

On Friday, we may get a stray sprinkle or two, but they will be more scattered than what we saw Thursday, and mainly in the morning. By the afternoon, the focus shifts to a breeze out of the north at 10-20 mph that keeps temperatures in the 40s for much of northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Starting the weekend, we'll get a bit more sunshine peeking through for Saturday, and a slight warm-up.

Away from the shores of Lake Superior, highs could work their way up well into the 50s, but closer to the shoreline, including Duluth, highs will hover closer to 50 degrees. ADVERTISEMENT Sunday wraps up the weekend on a breezier note for much of the region. Winds shift to out of the east, and it will be another seasonable and gusty day, with highs near 50 degrees for most of the region and a few spots further west warming to the 60s.

By Sunday night, we are tracking the next round of precipitation moving into the region and the chance for a wet start to next week..
