It's a fun time of year and gives you more insight into the music tastes of the people closest to you! Plus, it makes Christmas shopping a little easier for the music lovers in your life.

Here's a look at what Spotify Wrapped is and when it is expected to drop this year. What is Spotify Wrapped? Spotify Wrapped is an annual event from the music streaming service, Spotify. Since 2016, the platform has provided its users with a recap of the top tunes they listened to over the previous year.



There are always fun graphics and horoscope-esque observations about the type of music listener you are! It also gives listeners insight into how much they listen to individual artists, giving fans bragging rights if they're in the top 1%. Spotify also drops a special playlist onto your account with the top 100 songs you listened to that year. To check your Spotify Wrapped, all you have to do is open your app once it drops.
