Spotify Search Results Showed Porn For Popular Artists; Company Responds After Backlash

Audio streaming giant Spotify has a porn problem, and the issue went viral when some users searched for their favorite artists and songs on the platform and stumbled upon adult content instead. Some reports suggest users searched for rapper M.I.

A while, a few reports claim that a search of Mia Khalifa song was a shocking tumble down the express lane of explicit videos. As mentioned in the tweets below, this ain’t a new discovery. The platform is riddled with adult content in the form of podcasts and not just videos.



There are playlists of erotic audios floating around in Spotify, hidden in plain sight. Most conceal their adult content with absurd nomenclature that makes absolutely no sense but great passwords. Per Verge, the Swedish firm’s rep, Laura Batey, stated that Spotify has removed the objected content over violation of its policies.
