Sports Round-Up: Harleton baseball runs over Overton, 13-1, Hallsville, Marshall fall

Gage Shirts singled three times, drove in two runs, scored twice and swiped three bases for Harleton. Mason Clark and Bryce Bowen both drove in two runs, and Wallace singled and drove in a run.

Braxton Harper singled and drove in a run in the loss for Overton. Hallsville Baseball The Lufkin Panthers scored three times in the top of the seventh to put things away in a 7-1 win over the Hallsville Bobcats. Preston Thomas struck out four and walked one in 3.



2 innings and Carter Hatchel fanned three with two walks in three innings for Hallsville. Tyler Durrett had two singles and Hawk Haynes drove in a run for the Bobcats. Jefferson Softball Chloe Green homered and drove in two runs, Ava Smith and Kiley Stanley added two RBI apiece for New Diana and the Lady Eagles earned an 11-3 win over Jefferson.

Avery Howard and Addi Valle added two hits apiece for New Diana, with Howard and Sawyer Stapleton driving in runs. Green pitched four innings, striking out seven with no walks and one earned run allowed. Howard fanned three and walked one in three innings.

Madison Clark and Chloe Wood pitched for Jefferson. Wood doubled twice, singled and drove in a run. Clark had two hits.

Brynlie Braddock and Janaa Goynes both doubled, and Goynes drove in a run. Elysian Fields Baseball Elysian Fields broke a 4-4 deadlock with a run in the top of the eighth and made it stand for a 5-4 win over Union Grove. Evan White pitched five innings for Elysian Fields, striking out four and walking four.

John Beavers fanned five with no walks in 2.2 innings. Offensively, Beavers tripled, singled twice and drove in two runs.

Evan White had two hits, and Zane Childs and Nunu Kennedy both drove in runs. Carter Cooper struck out nine, walked five and gave up three earned runs in seven innings for Union Grove. Andrew Jacobus walked one and gave up one unearned run in one inning.

Jacob Griffin homered and drove in two runs and Porter Yohn and Hudson Wightman both drove in runs for Union Grove. Hallsville Softball Ella Baird tossed a two-hitter over five innings, striking out seven with one walk, and the Hallsville Ladycats romped to a 12-0 win over Jacksonville on Thursday. Ava Martin doubled, singled and drove in three runs and Baird helped her own cause at the plate with a home run, double and three RBI.

Mackenzie Griffin doubled, singled and drove in two runs, and Audrey Jones and Raelynn Harley added a single and an RBI apiece. Lindsey Dubberly chipped in with a double. In a 2-0 loss to Lufkin on Friday, Dubberly struck out 10 with no walks or earned runs allowed on four hits in seven innings.

Hope Miles, Heidi Hart, Jones, Baird and Dubberly all had singles for the Ladycats. Marshall Softball The Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers scored once in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with a 5-4 win over Marshall. Anna Belle Peters pitched for Marshall, striking out four and walking one in 6.

2 innings. Bri Theus singled and drove in two runs for Marshall, and Karleigh Robinson added a single and an RBI. Waskom Softball Emily Grandgeorge tossed a four-inning no-hitter, striking out eight and walking two, as Beckville notched an 18-0 win over Waskom.

Kalee Cameron homered and drove in two runs and Carli Tuttle had two doubles and four RBI for Beckville. Hannah Rogers finished with three singles and an RBI. Brilee Brumley doubled twice and drove in two runs.

Landrie Dennard had two hits and two RBI. Grandgeorge finished with two singles, and Gracey Struwe doubled, singled and drove in three runs. Elysian Fields Softball Hailey Griffin singled twice and drove in four runs, Hailey Carter added a double and three RBI and the Union Grove Lady Lions notched a 15-11 win over Elysian Fields.

Olivia Dabreu added three singles and two RBI for the Lady Lions. Emma Dabreu doubled twice, singled and drove in a run. Aubrie Coulter and Jordyn Bishop both added two singles, and Mia mullican singled twice and drove in a run.

Emma Dabreu pitched four innings, striking out two and walking one, and Olivia Dabreu struck out two with no walks in three innings. Layla Adkins and Taylor Youngblood pitched for Elysian Fields. Adkins fanned two with no walks in five innings.

Madison Owens drove in four runs for Elysian Fields, finishing with a double and two singles. Youngblood singled three times and drove in two runs. Kaylen Commander had two doubles and an RBI, and Abagail Hooten, Avery Woodley and Layla Adkins all doubled and singled, with Woodley, Adkins and Addison Levendikis driving in runs.

Harleton Softball Skyler Colvin and Chelsea Jordan both homered and combined to drive in five runs, and the Overton Lady Mustangs blanked Harleton, 10-0. Colvin singled twice and drove in two runs, and Jordan added a single and chased home three runs. Kasha Williams doubled and drove in a run.

Sarah Emery added two RBI, and Anna Perkins and Mason Fenter both chipped in with RBI. Kelsey Vaught struck out a dozen and walked four, scattering three hits in the shutout in the circle for Overton. Mallory Gonzalez and Landree Lowry pitched for Harleton.

Madison Flavela doubled for the Lady Wildcats. Waskom Baseball Beckville scored in the top of the seventh to break a 6-6 deadlock on the way to a 7-6 win over Waskom. Reed Chapman struck out five and walked two in five innings for Beckville, and Baker Seegers worked two innings on the hill for the Bearcats, fanning six with no walks or hits allowed.

Aiden Harris singled twice, Chapman tripled and singled, Brock White doubled and singled and White, Aiden Brantley, Seegers and Braxton Bullock all drove in runs for the Bearcats..
