LYCO helps to break kids out of their shell and live a sports filled life despite mental or physical challenges.

SAN DIEGO (KUSI/FOX5) -- It has been since 2013 that Dr. Veronica Naudin's children decided to start the Champions division of the LCYO to help give kids of all abilities the chance to play the sport of baseball. The age range is from 5-21 where anyone with physical or mental limitations can learn how to play the game at no cost to them or their families.

"To see all these kids smiling, and laughing, and being included. It gives me the chills because that is everything," Maria a mother of 4 participants said. "That is what all of us want, right, to be seen and to be included.
