People across Cambridgeshire spotted a strange swirling light in the sky on Monday night (March 25). The glowing spiral was seen in , Comberton and St Mary – as well as other locations across the UK and Europe. It lasted just a few minutes before fading, leaving many speculating on the cause.
The said the spiral was probably caused by a frozen plume of fuel from the exhaust on a SpaceX rocket launched in the US. This plume is thought to have reflected the sunlight and looked as if it was spinning in the atmosphere. The Falcon 9 rocket launched at approximately 1.
