Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is the type of game companies don’t make anymore. A full campaign, a co-op mode and a tacked-on deathmatch multiplayer mode all in one package is great value for money. In our review for the new Warhammer game , we called it a “quality title”, but worried about its longevity.

While players are certainly happy with the game’s suite of content, others are upset at the power of of the game’s Assault class. Space Marine 2 needs Assault buffs Since the release of the game, players have noticed that the game’s Assault class is next to useless compared to other classes. While fine in the PvP mode, PvE players are struggling to make their way through Operations missions with the classes.

Countless posts on the Space Marine 2 subreddit have been made to complain about the class with many claiming the class’ poor build turns the game into a “survival horror” situation. With huge nerfs added to the class’ jet pack compared to its PvP incarnation, players can barely make use of its coolest ability. “Assault is universally regarded to as the worst class in the entire game PVE wise and it’s sad how it’s not even close,” one fan said .

“The jetpack controls horribly and I have no idea why they neutered it to such a point. It absolutely needs to be changed to the PVP/campaign variation to even give it a fighting chance against the other classes.” “Assault is in a VERY bad spot right now when compared to every other class,” another fan said.

“Every other class has some very powerful one shot potential in their kit...

Assault ends up being the only class that does not have a very powerful tactic that will either neuter crowds or quickly take out Majoris enemies. Making it the weakest available class in the game right now. “ A worthy challenge Despite the complaints, hardcore Space Marine 2 players are working hard to prove Assault haters wrong.

While the class is technically at a disadvantage to other classes, players are still fighting through hordes of foes with the jet-pack, hammer-wielding super soldier with great effect. One awesome Space Marine 2 player showed fans just how effective the Assault class can actually be. In a sweet clip, the gamer burst into the sky and slammed into a horde of Thousand Suns with their giant hammer without taking any damage.

It was glorious. So, yes, Assault doesn’t have the same raw power as other classes, but it’s still a power trip for players who know how to use it..
