A STREET in the city's Southside was taped off after the bomb squad were called in.

A STREET in the city's Southside was taped off after the bomb squad were called in. Police were called to Riverbank Street in Pollokshields at around 4.35pm on Friday (April 11) following a report of a "possible item of ordnance".

A cordon was put in place as a precaution and the Explove Ordnance Disposal team attending to asses the item. The item was found to pose no risk and the cordon was removed.
